Your Optimal Lifestyle - Introduction
Hello to everyone and anyone reading this and welcome to my new blog. I have decided to launch a new side project to help others out from my vast knowledge and experience of healthy living and living Your Optimal Lifestyle. I have had many ups and downs just like everyone else I have worked hard all my life to get to where I am today, and it is been paying off for the previous handful of years plus. I am happy, healthy, energized and driven to tackle what is coming next.
I want to help you design and live Your Optimal Lifestyle.
I want you to believe you can do it and not settle for anything less. I will be offering lots of tips and information on fitness, nutrition, lifestyle, travel, adventure, money, success, productivity, mindset as well as pictures and videos of my own travels and cool experiences from my life. I will be posting every week on Monday about something new and different to help you along your journey.
Let us get into a brief background of me and what I have to offer. I'm a driven young professional originally from Toronto, Ontario Canada. I now live in beautiful British Columbia. I love being outside and staying active, I grew up playing sports all my life competitively and played on rep travel teams for hockey and lacrosse for over 12 years combined. I am a huge advocate of fitness and weightlifting; I have been consistent with going to the gym for the past 15 years. I have competed in Men’s Physique fitness shows for 4 years in Canada and the USA. I am a serious person who enjoys a challenge but likes to have fun, sit back relax and enjoy the simple things life has to offer like the beautiful sunset and waves crashing on a beach. I have been in the field of aviation for over a decade and work as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer for my main career.
I am incredibly grateful for all the travelling I have done in the previous years for work and for fun as well. I have explored all over Canada and the USA and have more plans to see and explore new areas. Travelling is something I love doing and want to set aside more time each year to go to new places on new adventures. I enjoy doing activities like heli-skiing, track days on my motorcycle, reading, writing, hiking, working out, fishing, bowling, playing lacrosse, watching professional sports and travelling.
I have learned a lot throughout my life so far and read nearly 52 books a year. I read all non-fiction books on topics that interest me on personal development, leadership, business, money, success, fitness, nutrition, productivity, greatness and anything else I can learn which can be applied to business and life.
I live a life of freedom, flexibility, and fun.
I make it a priority to get important tasks done everyday but also put aside time for relaxation to watch a movie or spend time with important people around me like family and friends. I am living my Optimal Lifestyle everyday and am truly trying to improve and become better than I was yesterday.
With the knowledge and experience I’ve gained over the previous years it is my hope I can help others along my own journey to take care of themselves, believe in themselves and stay positive and optimistic when the going gets tough. The going always gets tough, life can be tricky and there are a ton of decisions that will affect where we are all headed. I am certain if we put in the effort to live a healthy life we can be better prepared physically and mentally to deal with any challenge’s life throws our way.
Life is meant to be enjoyed. It seems a lot of us these days take it way too seriously most of the time. Doing the things, we think will make us happy and successful in the future but sacrificing everything right now. Do not turn that voice inside your head down or off. It is there for a reason guiding you to where you genuinely want to go.
I want to encourage you to live the life you have dreamed of.
I know I still have a lot to learn and am learning something new each and everyday. But if I know one thing, we are not put on this planet to commute in traffic everyday, to go to a job we hate, to pay for a mortgage we can barely afford. Not to mention a car we financed or leased that the bank owns. This is absolutely no way I would want to live my life. I have been there driving on the highway an hour to work each morning, it sucks, it’s not fun and it certainly isn’t following your dream to be wasting your time a couple hours a day doing something you don’t like doing.
I am positive there are people reading this that are saying well that is how it is. That is the way life works, and we are not all given some silver spoon to go and travel the world, I have responsibilities and bills to pay. I realize it may not seem like the right time now to live the life you have always wanted.
There is not a perfect time to do or start anything.
That is the hard truth for wanting to do anything out of the norm. It is uncomfortable, risky and most of your friends and family will tell you to just get a stable job and play it safe. That is what they have done their entire lives and that’s what they believe is the way to go about it.
I got sick and tired of being the average person with the average income and average car and apartment. I told myself I will not settle for average ever again. I would rather try something new and exciting I have always wanted and fall short then never to live at all.
Thanks so much for spending some of your time with me. I greatly appreciate it and hope I added some value to you in some way. I hope your back again to expand your own life as I continue to expand mine. Stay tuned for more posts as well pictures and video content.
All the best,
