How do some people overcome the odds? How do some people seem to do things some only dream of? Is there a proven strategy that works for them? I want to let you know 3 ways that have worked for me to overcome the odds and win. This often takes time, patience, and lots and lots of practice!

Step 1: Be Patient

If you want to win at life you must be patient. Great things take time and you must be willing to be patient along your journey. If you’re in a rush and want things to happen instantly you’ll be in for a rough ride.

The world we are in has zero patience for anything. The I want it now mentality is ever-present and unfortunately isn’t helping anyone. Our feeds are taking over our lives along with constant distractions. This causes you to be less patient with circumstances and people. Having a short fuse when things go south.

One proven way to increase your patience is to meditate. Meditation will help you to be present and in the moment. This will help you calm your mind and control your emotions more. Helping you with patience over time.

Take your time and understand that you’re in this for the long haul. Patience is your secret weapon when wanting to conquer big things. When I started saving money all I could afford to put away was $50 per month. While this seemed like such a small and insignificant amount of money in the short term in the long term it added up. If you’re patient over time you will overcome what you want most in life - which leads us to our next step - consistency.

Step # 2: Be Consistent

While patience will help you to accept the process, consistency is what get you the results. Being consistent means doing something frequently on a set basis. This could be going to the gym 5 days a week or saving money every month.

Consistency allows people to crush it in their lives. This trait alone has helped me transform my body from a skinny high school kid to a fit healthy men’s physique competitor, to save a pile of money, build a successful career, and much more.

If there’s one thing you can take away from this post is this - consistency trumps all. If you can do something small day in and day out you will go on to achieve big things. While patience and consistency are key to winning there is still one ingredient you are missing - structure.

Step # 3: Be Structured

What did you do this past weekend? Was it productive or unproductive? Did you sit on the couch all day not knowing what to do because you had so much free time on your hands? Or did you have a schedule and set time you wanted to do things at.

Think of your last vacation (for some of you this could have been a long time ago) especially since the covid era. What steps did you take before your trip? How long did you plan it? How many hours, days, weeks, and months went into researching where you would go, what you wanted to do, and how you would get there and get around.

When you’re structured in life is when you get things done. To create structure in your life is when you create a timeline, schedule, and plan. Busy people have schedules and set items they are going to do each day. If you wing it, you are likely to stay in the exact spot you are now.

While creating structure in your life can take time, it’s a habit just like anything else. Try planning just one day instead of a week or a month. From morning to night - before and after work, what are you going to do? Of course, plans change, you must learn to adapt and change with them. Get a planner to help you plan out your day, or use the calendar app on your phone.

Now you have my 3 steps to win at life - Be patient, be consistent, and be structured. These 3 things have helped me transform many areas of my life and I hope they do the same for you. Stop waiting for the perfect time and get started right now. You don’t need to make huge adjustments at once - rather small changes over a longer period of time.

Be sure to join my The Ultimate 5 Day Goal-Setting Course now to make a change for the good! I can’t wait to see you inside.
